Introducing the Petite Cakes!

I finally have pictures of one of my Petite Cakes. These cakes are just as cute as their counterpart Deluxe cakes, just on a smaller scale.

Can't get enough of these elephants!

I love it when I'm given free reign on a project like this. For this cake, the only rules I had to follow were:
1. Some sort of animal theme
2. Pink color scheme with a contrasting color

The rest was up to me.

Since I was still on an elephant high from my previous cake, I decided to run with another elephant theme.

The March of the Elephants

This is my latest cake. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

The theme was obviously elephants. My client wanted colors used from the adorable shower invitations she sent out. The gender of the baby is a surprise.



Thes picture above shows just what goes into making a cake. These items make up a wonderful gift just as they are, but isn't it so much more fun to receive the same gifts arranged like this?

I wanted to include several detail shots of the cake. I'm pretty proud of all the elephant goodies I was able to find.

Here's the details:

At Sara's Diaper Cakes we offer cakes in two sizes: petite and deluxe, and 3 themes: boy, girl and neutral. (More specific themes such as elephants, butterflies, cars/trucks are also available.)

The petite cakes are two tiers and include 1 package of diapers, 1 big package of wipes, 2 receiving blankets, 1 cake topper (usually a stuffed animal or toy relating to the theme), and a travel pack with travel-size shampoo, lotion, etc.

The deluxe cake is 3 tiers and includes 2 packs of diapers, 1 big package of wipes, 3 bottles, 2 pacifiers, bibs or washcloths, full size baby shampoo OR diaper rash ointment, 3 receiving blankets, 2-3 toys (rattles, teethers, etc.), a cake topper (relating to the theme) and a travel pack.

For those who want to add more 'ingredients' to their cake, custom orders are always welcome. Prices vary depending on what is requested.

All cakes are tied with coordinating ribbon and sit on a tray.
